Hold the written chat queue for a set stretch and reply using the wording the employer signed off.
- Signed-off wording sits beside the queue
- Difficult cases go upward, not to you
- Evening stretches of three hours
Every listing here spells out the hours, the tools and the dull parts. If it does not suit you after reading, that is the page working properly.

The steps
Contact details, available hours, preferred listing.
HR sends the brief in writing and takes your questions.
One online session covering the tools, notes included.
You nominate them, the employer confirms, you start.

Our part
CareerVane is a listings desk. Employers send us home-based briefs, we confirm the business is real, publish what the work involves, and introduce applicants. Once the employer replies to you, the hours, the rate, the supervision and the payroll are entirely theirs. We are never in the payment chain and we never invoice applicants.
Worth reading first
No panel and no assessment. HR reads your form, sends the brief and asks about availability in writing. If the employer wants a short call before confirming the roster, they arrange that with you themselves.
That is what most people here are doing. Because you nominate the blocks, the usual pattern is a couple of evenings or one weekend day fitted around a schedule that is already full.
Your first fortnight of work is reviewed before it goes anywhere. Mistakes at that stage are expected, get corrected quietly, and are not held against you afterwards.
The work needs a connection that holds for the length of a block. Most homes around Bairnsdale and the Lakes manage that fine; if yours drops out often, mention it to HR so they can suggest the least demanding listing.
The employer confirms it in writing before your first block and it matches the range shown in the listing. Nothing is deducted at our end because we are not part of the payment at all.

We have written down what each role is like on an ordinary weekday rather than how it sounds in a job advertisement.

Hold the written chat queue for a set stretch and reply using the wording the employer signed off.

Work through account records and correct the fields that no longer match the paperwork.

Match invoices against purchase records and mark the ones that do not reconcile.

Assess short submissions against published criteria and pass on the borderline ones.
From applicants
“I ruled out two of the four just from reading. That saved me an evening.”
Hayley, Bairnsdale“Everything the brief promised turned up, roughly in the order it said it would.”
Brodie, Lakes Entrance“I moved my blocks once when my classes changed and it took one message.”
Jess, OrbostApply
One short form, then a WhatsApp message to HR. Payment details, passwords and bank information are never part of an application here.
The form records your details. The WhatsApp message is what puts them in front of HR while they are actually working.
